Civil vs Church records and Cemetery records
« on: Thursday 17 March 22 16:24 GMT (UK) »
Hello

I have two questions-

1)
Are there online records available for the North Churchyard Cemetery in Midleton?

*reference of the church from a old newspaper clipping indicating where the funeral will be held.

2)
I have the civil record of a marriage in 1929 but do the RC church records hold more information than the civil records? I.e date of birth for those getting married? Or both parents names?

*the civil record is a copy of the extract from Irish genealogy obtained through the GRO

3 graveyards in Midleton - i doubt all records are online but worth a look -
https://www.findagrave.com/cemetery-browse/Ireland/County-Cork/Midleton?id=city_228713

the RC records really depend on the church, Id assume by 1929 they would be supplying a mothers name and her maiden name + addresses for the couple, their witnesses and their parents. most records in Ireland do not ever give exact birth dates.
