There was 1 Mary Sproule birth registration in County Tyrone 1920, 2 in 1919 and 1 in 1921. All in Castlederg Superintendent Registrar's District. Almost all the Mary Sproule births in those years were in County Tyrone + some with other surnames born to Sproule mothers.
There was a Mary Agnes birth amongst those (she was a twin) but born 11 Aug.1921-

No other Sproule birth match the date given in 1939 register.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Maiden Stone, George died 1975 with dob 18.5.1914 Bolton. Mary Agnes died 2003 dob 18.5.1920.

Date of birth given for Mary at her death doesn't match any of those Mary Sproule birth registrations I found. She or the informant of her death may have been mistaken about dob. Perhaps a relative confused it with George's birthday.
The only May birth for a Mary Sproule in County Tyrone was 1919. A Mary Sproule registered 1921 had official dob 23rd. June. It was registered in September, just inside 6 weeks which I think was the time allowed, so it's possible that baby was born earlier than her official dob.
A search for Sproule birth registrations without specifying forename turned up a Stella Sproule born 17th May 1920, registered Killybegs, Glenties S.R. District, County Donegal. There were no female Sproule babies registered before they had a first name.

Ok folks
Thanks for all that info and your precious time.  Its gets confusing.
All I know as mentioned I had a note and nothing else.  I have since checked Anc.  There is a tree with George Lomax 1914 married to a Mary Agnes Sproule 1920.  Cannot see any details with actual dates or contact the tree owner for reasons mentioned above.
No I do not have the BC for George 1914.  A quick look on FS came up;  George Lomax born 2nd. qtr. 1914 in Bolton, Lancashire, mmn Hamer. As regards Mary Agnes have nothing apart from she married George.
Ladyhawk : that seems to be Mary Agnes

Appreciate all your time and effort.
