1897 - Cottage name in Windygates, Fife, Scotland?

I'd be very grateful to discover the name of this cottage please.

1st line, top left side...

I've used several variants without success.

Is there a capital "E" anywhere on the page? I can help but think that the middle letter of the second word is a bit tall for an "e", and I am wondering if the word might be Elm.

The scribe often puts the dot from an "i" quite some way to the right, which might confuse things for the first word (which looks something like Spinties... ???)

I think it is Spinlies Elm Cottage.  All the other words that have a letter 't' in them there is a cross stroke on the 't'.

Looking at the NLS side by side map of the area 1885-1900 there is only one small group pf buildings at Windygates as there is now with two small buildings to the east of the apparent main farm complex but unfortunately no individual names for the cottages.

Yes could be Spinkie but still think Elm.  It would be good to see more of the page to see how capital letters 'D' and 'E' were written in other names.

I think it's likely Spinkie Den as has been suggested.

Seems 'Spinkie(s)' is the name for Primrose(s)!

Must be a 'Fife' word ? ::)
