St Lawrence, New Brentford Baptism Joseph LeVierge
« on: Sunday 13 March 22 12:04 GMT (UK) »
Hello,

I have been to conclusively nail down some sort of birth record/parents for a Joseph LeVierge-signed Levirge on his 1811 Tower Hamlets marriage record to Elizabeth Amer.

Recently a number of people started added an unsourced baptism for 14 July 1793 St Lawrence, New Brentford, Middlesex, England but no one I’ve contacted can tell me the source they got it from an I can’t seem to find baptisms for 1973 New Brentford. Family search says the images are held by find my past but I can’t see them there. Free reg doesn’t pull a Joseph at all for a larger time span.

If anyone can point me the right direction to track down the image or index I can sort by hand it would be appreciated.

Thank you
Nich

Could you please give the link from familysearch that gives that information.

It won’t let me share the exact film link, but this is the link to their parish information. When I click through their film for years covering 1793 it tells me I need to be redirected to find my past. It also lists find my past as having the indexes.

I don't know whether you'll find the bap you're looking for, as I don't have a sub at the moment, but Ancestry's dataset "London, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812" includes some Brentford St Lawrence registers.  Select borough Hounslow and then pick St Lawrence from the parish list to browse them.

For info, I have found some Brentford registers under Tower Hamlets Old Ford but I think they are later ones.

edit - Just found an example:  London, England, Church of England Marriages and Banns, 1754-1936, borough Tower Hamlets, scroll down to St Paul Old Brentford to browse marriages 1868-1889.

FindMyPast do have the transcripts for New Brentford for that period in their 'Middlesex Baptisms'  category

That listing you linked only suggested that they had transcripts and not images

The baptism on 14 July 1793 at St Lawrence, New Brentford is for

Elizabeth, daughter of William and Jane Amer.

Image on Ancestry.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Thank you all. I tried a search on find my past with nothing but I will look again on ancestry.

Interestingly I have Elizabeth baptized March 1818 Shoreditch under Elizabeth Levirge daughter of John and Mary Amer. It lists her birthday as 5 July 1793.

I appreciate the help.
