Gawen Harris Nash will dated 1785
« on: Friday 11 March 22 01:47 GMT (UK) »
Hello.  A will of Gawen Harris Nash  dated 1783-1785 states that Jane Yoemans(daughter of Sarah Luttman) is his sister in law.  I'm trying to figure out how this is the case.  What is their relationship?

Really trying to find out Yeomans's spouse and father, but this seemed a clue to use to find out.

Okay, I think I've figured out some things.

I found that a Gawen Harris Nash married Mrs Sarah Luttman Jan 23, 1747.
Their daughter Jane was baptized Feb 26 1748.

So I am assuming that the Gawen Harris Nash whose will and codicil was dated 1787, was the son, from a previous marriage, of the Gawen Harris Nash who married Sarah Luttman.
Jane, his step sister, would be considered his "sister, in law".

So now, Looking for marriage of Jane Nash to a Yeomans.

Gawen Harris Nash bap 2 June 1724 at Petworth Sussex son of Gawen Harris Nash and Mary

This would fit the death 1785 age 61

Gawen Harris Nash married Mary Fagge at Winston 8 September 1723.
ADDED she was the daughter of Sir Robert Fagge baronet
Gawen was Esq. doesn't say if he was a widow
-----.

There is also a Gawen Harris Nash who married Jane Peachy 9 July 1720 St Clement Danes.
According to the marriage allegation they were both of Petworth- dated 5 July 1720
He also made a statement that say he is a bachelor
