2nd Booster

I have just had an e-mail saying that I can now get my 2nd booster. I'm going to get it shortly

No word as yet, but different parts of the country are giving it to 70 year olds whilst much older people have had no notification yet.
Obviously seems to depend on the Health Authority.
Have heard of quite a few people having Covid even after their first booster .
Glad your second booster is in the offing Gadget.

My husband got his letter last week - just three days after testing positive. He will have to wait now.

I volunteered in a vaccine centre.  We appear to be gearing up for after 3rd April with staff numbers.  Although I’ve seen a few 75+ coming in through the normal booking system for their ‘Spring Booster’.

One in late 70's got it over Christmas, had her first booster in October.
A couple who both got it at the end of last month. She is late 50s, he is early 60s, her booster late November, his mid November.
None were particularly ill, fortunately.

Had mine last week which is four months and three weeks after my first booster. Our local vaccination centre allows all over 75s who have had their first one more than three months before to walk in and get it.

We have been so careful. As I wrote my husband tested positive a week ago. Had his last booster in September 2021 and got an email for his 2nd booster a few days ago.
He is in his 80s. I tested positive later in the week.
We are the third couple I know of similar ages who have had covid in the last few weeks plus several individuals.
One friend has had the two vaccines and two boosters but still got it.

I had my second booster on Saturday. I booked it a month ago with a letter from the GP. The clinic was then only doing them monthly. In the intervening month I received a letter from the cancer hospital saying I was entitled to the second booster. I attended on Saturday with the GP letter and the hospital letter but no one wanted to see them!

I know a number of people who have tested positive recently all can trace back to where they got it from. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed and being sensible.

We're in the over 75s group.

Newcastle have got it sorted. They have NHS mobile walk-in centres around the wider city area and a timetable of locations and times, etc. is issued each week. I looked up our nearest and we went just after 11 am. No one else there all very straight forward.

So next one is the Autumn one - I assume with our flu jab.
