Sandra, you are quite right, it was the 1926 census. I was expecting to find the 1921 and didn't notice.
Great find of the obituary.  :)  Tricky when people go by their middle names.

Not long to go............ :)

This 1931 Canadian Census census should become available to the public in 2023, 92 years after the census was collected.

Hi Sandra,

Thanks for all the info. Yes the census is her and the obituary looks like it is too. The daughter or her niece (Marie Campbell's daughter June Campbell), married someone with the surname Short so I would think that is a link to one of the pallbearers. It seems Susan was known as Amy in her day to day life from other info I've since found.

The WW1 record for George Archibald Campbell mentions his wife, Maria, of 8 Alpha St, Rye Lane, Peckham, London. His address after demobbing was Winton, Saskatchewan, near the city of Prince Albert. He was described on his attestation paper as a farmer. A search of the Winton cemetery on findagrave shows Susan Amy Knight was buried there. Unfortunately, the photo of the headstone is unreadable and there is no further information about her there.

That address is where Susan Amy's cousins lived. I've got that info form the 1921 census and Susan Amy gave that as the address for her next of kin (her cousin Robert Chas Knight) when she left to go to Canada. Marie must've lived there as well at some point too then.
