Fred Rodgers a little help please
« on: Tuesday 01 March 22 16:02 GMT (UK) »
My great grandfather Fred Rodgers  was born in Rotherham 1886 ... Lived in Whiston. For a bit.... Moved to woodsettes..for a while. Then ended up in worksop notts  where he died in 1934.

I have been trying to use all my resources to find out when he lived in what place
1891  - 1901 Eastwood mount Rotherham ( census) until his marriage

He married in 1908 and I have found him on voters lists for just 1913...14... And 15. In whiston..

have no idea when he moved to Whiston ( On marriage certificate it gives whiston) 1908
1911- he's at The Green,Whiston age 24 forgeman at steelworks

Nor when they went to Woodsets ( near worksop notts) same for the " worksop  move".

Can anyone chase him for me

He died December 1934 in worksop..

I'm hoping someone can join up the missing times for me

Hovering over "Fred Rodgers, born Rotherham, 1886" in the 1921 census there is a possible entry for such a person in Whiston.  Do the names Elsie or Marion ring any bells?
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

There were 2 Fred's born Rotherham - in 1911 the one you quote, Colin, was still single and with his mother Fanny.
