Timothy Pike
« on: Monday 21 February 22 21:38 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I am trying to find the resting place of Timothy Pike b 1947 and d 1947.

The family lived in the Woodgreen area of Hampshire and were Methodists I believe.  There was a Methodist Chapel in Woodgreen, which is now a holiday cottage, so I am not sure where I could locate the records.  There is also a graveyard in Woodgreen but unable to find any records.

Any help in finding the grave of Timothy would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Sorry CaroleW

I think the birth and death were registered under Salisbury, which is Wiltshire, but they lived in Woodgreen, which comes under Hampshire.

Unless that is why I can't find anything?  Perhaps they lived in the Salisbury district and moved due to the death of a son?

I cannot find anything other than the birth and death entries, but was hoping to find his grave.

If his parents were Wallis W W Pike & Kathleen S Lawson - they married in Uxbridge in 1945

Wallis died 1990 in Berkshire & Kathleen in 1999 also in Berkshire

So they moved to Wiltshire sometime between 1945 - 1947 then to Hampshire sometime after 1947

You need to switch your search for his grave to Wiltshire so I will ask the moderator to move your post to the Wiltshire board

You may need to establish their address at the time as the Salisbury RD covered many areas

Hi CaroleW

Thanks so much for moving the search Carole.

Yes that is the correct family.

Hi,

An entry in "UK & Ireland, Nursing Registers, 1898-1968" gives an address for Kathleen in Berkshire,

Residence Year:    1946
Kathleen Susanna PIKE (nee LAWSON)
Permanent Address:  52 St Leonard's Rd, Windsor
Date and Place of Registration:  Dec 24 1944, London
Qualifications:  Weymouth and District Hospital 1940-1944. By Examination

They could have moved after this date or maybe they were visiting the Salisbury area when Timothy died.

Regards,
Daisy

Timothy’s birth & death were both registered March qtr 1947 in Salisbury.  Suggests they were either visiting or living there when he was born.  I suspect he died shortly after birth
