Missing James mctiernan and family

Hi everyone having trouble locating this family in bradford in 1851.
What I know so far
James mctiernan (mistranscribed) as mcternan married
Mary welsh
At Bradford St Peter cathedral 9th December 1850.
James father Teddy mctearnan
Mary father John welsh
There daughter
Maria was born in bradford in 1855.
So they should show up on the census for 1851.
I have tried all sorts different surnames etc.
The next time I catch up with family is in the 1861 census living in middlesbrough. Where James and Mary decided to stay for the rest of there days. Maria eventually went to America. But she went from middlesbrough there in 1889.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

The marriage entry for James and Mary says that James McTEARNAN is aged 24 and that Mary is 22. As neither signed the register it could of course be that James' surname has been misinterpreted.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids. They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Was just going to post that birth and suggest trying the addresses from the marriage and birth perhaps.
1861 also has Ann McTernan, 60 yrs, mother with the family but still can’t see them yet.

Thank you everyone you have all gave me a better place to look. Found a bunch of them also in Wakefield too with some of the children born in middlesbrough. Looks like they seem to have gone between Middlesbrough Bradford and Wakefield towns. It dosent help with them been Irish and all of them naming there children the same and each family seems to have between 7 or 8 children each.
Thanks once again.
