The 1939 Register has a Thomas C Ford in Ealing, born 1896. Would his family details provide any clues as to whether he is a possible?

This reminds me of when I was a child, my parents used to talk about a man who had the same surname who we used to visit sometimes. I once asked what relation he was, only to be told he wasn't related, he and my dad were in the RAF together!
So frustrating when you can't find out though....

All I know for sure is that 1896 Thomas C Ford in Ealing isnt a brother of William Charles, his parents seemed to have 2 lives, the first part with the first 3 or 4 children seemed relatively normal, houses, school records etc, then their 2nd lot of children, John born 1891, Ethel born 1894 and then William born 1899 lived in the workhouse it seemed and John was what seemed to be all but adopted by the governors (no idea what happened to Ethel) both John and William went into the Navy and both men wrote sisters addresses on signing up paperwork etc......thanks for your time any way

Do we assume he is the William Charles Ford b Poplar 1899 mmn Turner.  Parental marriage 1880?  Marriage cert shows Thomas b around 1853 occ hawker

And he had a brother Thomas b 1881??

yes Thomas 1880 was the first born, then Mary Margaret 1881, Jane 1884 Alice 1886 and the last 3 who like i said were in and out of the workhouse

ER's are very basic - he could have been a cousin.  What is clear is that he was not a sibling
