John Richard Farmer born 9th April 1857 in Shoreditch

 Greetings all, - Hope everyone is keeping well,
     I am trying to find out what happened to this gentleman after 1902.
     His parents were John Burton Famer and Sarah Elizabeth West. He had 3 siblings
      - Elizabeth Sarah, George William and Ann. He married my Great grandma in April 1895.
     Her name was Annie Rogers ( formerly Hollis ). They appear on the 1901 census all named
     Farmer - George, Elizabeth, Annie and Emily wre all Rogers by name. to two little ones,
     John and Rose were both born Farmer. John R is down as a (House) Painter. Sadly, both
     the youngsters died in 1902 In Bethnal Green. The only other information I have is that my
     Great Grandma died in 1921 in Hackney. So I don't know what happened to her from 1902 
      until her death. John R I know nothing about full stop. His name appears on her death cert
      but almost as an afterthought . Any help would be greatly appreciated

What do you mean by that exactly?  Was he the informant? 

If not there's a John Farmer who dies late 1902 age 44 but that could be someone else

Find My Past have an electoral register at 107 South St , Rodney Rd, Walworth, John Richard Farmer living alone in 1915. Maybe look on the 1911 census at that address?

His father according to the marriage was Richard Daniel Farmer occ Grocer.

Most women did not get the vote until the late 1920s so would not appear on the voting register

The deaths of the two youngest have the same reference (June quarter 1902 volume 1c/106) which might mean there was an accident.  Do you have one or both of these certificates? Would be worth checking to see if John was the informant.

It's likely his death is hiding somewhere as plain "John Farmer" - perhaps out of area if he was in hospital or travelling for work and registered by someone who didn't know him that well.

Might just be coincidence but it looks like John and Annie were at 27 Granby Street in 1902.

        Greetings Nice People,
           Thank you all who looked at my problem to see if they could help. A special thanks
          to those that took the time to find the answers that I've received and because of their
          help I can give an update on my quest.
          Kay99 - I am pleased to say that I'm sure you're right , that for some unknown reason
          Great-Nanny Annie was put in as Jane on the 1911 census - I am sure because it's the
          address on the Death Certs of her two children that died so young.
          jorose - i have just got a pdf of Rose Farmers Death Cert and found out that she (and
          obviously her brother John )  died of Diphtheria. John Richard was the one who reported
          the deaths. As to  "John Farmer" on his death cert.- I'm still working on it.
          Milliepede - On Great Nanny Annies Death Cert. in Rank or Profession it has
          " Of 5 Askew Street, Hackney. Wife of John Richard Farmer House Painter". Her death is
          reported by my Grandfather. I have just realised that between 1914 and 1922 he'd had
          to bury 4 of his children - all under 2 years old and his Mother and Wife had died
          within 8 days of each other. The only baby that survived during that period was my Mum.
          cuffie81 - When I looked at the 1911 census that kay99 directed me to look at I noticed
          that Jane (Ann) had put she had had 3 children and none were alive so this could be
          the answer - I will order up the Death cert. and let you know.
