My mum Nellie Harrison was born in Ince wigan 1909.Is there any other option to find her address or do I need to buy the birth certificate.Thanks for your time.

Who are her parents? maybe we can find a baptism with an address

Hi Pat,
You may find a baptism record that states the address. other than that I think you will need to buy the birth certificate. Even if you find the baptism record it might not state the full address. I have some that just list the name of the village etc.

1911 they are at 36 Boundary Street, Measboro Dyke, Barnsley, Yorkshire

ADDED
The only way to see if they were baptized is an LDS Church, they have the records of Hindley Lancashire on microfilm, and it may have to be ordered beforehand.

The quickest way may be to get the birth certificate

They also had Hilda 1906 registered Wigan
William 1911 registered Barnsley
Dorinda 1914 registered Barnsley

The family moved back and forth quite a bit wigan,Barnsley wigan and Kent.I have traced the family but always wondered where their address was in wigan.Thank you very much I will send for the birth certificate.

an Engine driver - would explain why they moved around a lot if this is Nellies sister - also has an address
Pat - where did you get your info that William and Jayne were Nellies parents - and is Nellie a nickname ?? I only ask because Hildas mum is Mary Ellen - Could Nellie be a nickname for Ellen ? - was Nellie born Ellen ?

on Parish mouse wigan - there is a link - Wigan  Rates books 1849 -1937 - now I know that is a lot of years - but you may be able to get 1909 up ??  and look for William and Jayne Harrisons rate book
