BLANCHE WRIGHT, 1859 - 1938
« on: Sunday 16 January 22 10:07 GMT (UK) »
Blanche Stradling was born the second quarter of 1859 in Wellington, Somerset. On 1st October 1888 she married James Broscombe, spelt Broscomes in some records in Bradford. Thy had 1 child John William Broscombe, my grandad. James died in 1910.
During the 3rd quarter 1915 Blanche married Robert  Stephen Wright, 1868 - 1934. According to my records Blanche died during the second quarter of 1938.
However the 1921 census shows Robert living in Young Street, Bradford with his wife Blanche, born in 1862 in Devon. I cannot find another marriage for Robert but there is a possible death for Blanche in 1916.
Is there anybody who knows about the Wright family who can tell me if my death record is correct or not and if the 1921 census record for Blanche is another women or just an incorrect entry.
Thank you

You say that the address in 1921 was Young Street for Robert and Blanche.  17 Young Street is the address given for Robert in 1915 when he and Blanche married.   :-\

Your reference to Blanche's birth suggests that you don't have a copy of the certificate, only an entry from the GRO index, and this might account for the apparent discrepancy over counties.

The Wellington Registration District straddled the boundary between Somerset and Devon, so it would be quite possible for someone to be have been born in Devon, but in the Wellington RD. For more see this page:
