Might be Joseph's mother Sarah Sadler in 1851 in Halstead Place, Camberwell in 1851. Wyndham Road area, as per exam

There is a Henry Sadler of the right age appearing in FindMyPast's Crime, Prisons & Punishment records in 1853 /54

Brush Maker.
1854 Parkhurst Prison record says next of kin, Mother Mrs Sadler, resides in Camberwell.
Released 21 May 1858.

Sarah and Sadler children are in Camberwell in 1841.
Possible baptism of Joseph at St. Mary Newington, 17 June 1807 :-\
Joseph s of Joseph + Sarah Sadler
born May 19 1807

Would make Sarah a bit young, to say the least, going on her census ages

More exciting stuff for Brickwall Demolisher.
There is a settlement report on a Joseph Sadler, 3 Aug 1835
In Horsemonger Lane for Debt
Wife Jane, applying for relief.
Married 5 years ago at Norwood.
Two children, Charles, 3, Charlotte, 1.

Ancestry trees don't know who he is!

It mentions that Joseph's mother was also receiving relief.
And there is indeed a report on a Sarah Sadler, 27 January 1835, apparently she was 40.
Eight children, eldest William, 15.
Claims relief by renting a house and carry on business as an Ironmonger for 50 years.

Would make her about 13 when Joseph was born? Wrong person? Step mother? :-\
