Church of Ireland seems likely but given the only ref. to Tandragee is the military transcription rather fearful if pay a researcher to check they may not find anything.

It's always a risk, but I am not sure there are many other options for tracing the family.

It's possible that the Benjamin Hearse born 1806 and died 1878 at Kilkeel could be related to the Benjamin listed in Mary Jane's marriage...

it jumps out given the name and age but he was there in Rostrevor area 1863 on Griffiths
Benjamin Hess of Knockbarragh, Kilbroney, Upper Iveagh (Upper Half), Co. Down. Had a son Thomas Hess 1865 https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1865/03577/2318308.pdf from possibly a second marriage given his age and the fact the mothers on the 1865 & 67 births are Francis formerly McBride & Fanny formerly Finlay who may be one and the same. Thomas' birth was registered by a brother Charles.

I found this crumb ... reference to a Benjamin Hearse marrying in 1827 in County Tyrone. Relevant? Not sure..

Thanks everyone for the information, it is greatly appreciated. I'll sit with it all and hopefully work a plan of likely leads that fit the time period, location etc.. I can't find any reference to his religious denomination as on his death certificate it is not registered, but I guess owing to the area and denominations at the time that should help.
