Mynydd Sylen Resolutions 1843 signatories map
« on: Thursday 09 December 21 22:08 GMT (UK) »
Attached are the signatories of the above agreement. I suspect most of the signatories lived close to each other. I was wondering if anyone has access to map(s) of the period to show how close they actually were? The hamlets involved seem to be mainly Glyn, Hengoed and Westfa. The properties being

Tirheol (Tynyrheol) (westfa)
Caercanvas (Glyn)
Scyborisha (Hengoed)
Soho (Hengoed)
Cappel Evan (Capel Evan/Ivan) (Glyn Hamlet/Carnawllon)
Berwick
Blaenant (Westfa)
Bryngroes (Bryn Y Groes) fach (Hengoed)
G/Cynheidre (Glyn)
Gellyhir (Hengoed)
Caerbygin (Glyn)
Bryngwynmawr (Westfa)
Glynea (Llanedy)

Thank you

Gellihir is the only one close to Mynydd Sylen, being in the hamlet of Horeb, next to Felin Newydd. G/Cynheidre is the other on the western edge. The Berwick is in Bynea, Llanelli. Bryngwynmawr in Dafen/Felinfoel area. Bryngroesfach, Caerbigyn are Five Roads and Soho would be Furnace (5 miles from Sylen). It's an interesting mix.
