Abel Bennett of Mickleton/Studley
« on: Monday 29 November 21 09:48 GMT (UK) »
I wonder if anyone, please, has my great grandfather, ABEL BENNETT, on their records.  I can trace him on all the censuses from 1851 to 1901, the last before his death, in Studley, Mappleborough Green, and the local area - but I can't find him in 1841.  He married Harriet Tandy at Studley in 1846, and after her death in 1850 he married her sister Lydia Tandy, at Alcester, in 1852.  Abel was born at Mickleton in Gloucestershire, but I can't trace him in 1841 in either Gloucestershire or Warwickshire.  Abel and Lydia had 11 children, the youngest of whom was my granny, Mabel Bennett.

Grateful for any guidance, thank you.

Thanks very much, that looks likely, I will investigate it.

Cheers,
