Geary Ventham - Michelmersh Hants

I am trying to find the ancestors of Sarah Geary (married John Ventham in 1796) - I have Sarah birth as 10 Feb 1775 and death as April 1840 (burial 5th Apri) - but have another record showing Sarah Geary as a pauper in 1851 (confusing) - unless there is another Sarah Geary same age - same locality
and yet another record showing a Sarah Ventham in same location in 1861 (aged a remarkable (for a poor country woman) 86 - is this the same person - how can I know ?
I have her mother as Sarah (C/K)imber and Father as James Geary but they would have both been 50+ when Sarah G was born (too old) - so what I need is someone to confirm that I have the correct people

The Sarah Ventham who died in 1840 was 65 according to the GRO so that would tie in with your Sarah. Was the burial in the parish in which your Ventham family were living in 

Where are the other Sarah Venthams living in later census.  I presume you mean that the one you found in 1851 was Ventham and not Geary as you have typed.

There is a baptism in Michelmersh for a Sarah Geary 10th February 1775 -Father John mother S....
I see that it is the same date as the one you have with parents James & Sarah

Also - do you have the death certificate please, for the one who died in 1840? The person who registered the death may be one of her children - then you would know.

In addition - you say you have the burial details - was the burial at the same place as her husband?

The 1861 Sarah Ventham - I can't see in 1841 - in fact I cannot immediately see ANY Sarah Ventham in Hampshire in 1841 -- but we know that one of them died. The other Sarah may have married or remarried to someone called Ventham between 1841 and 1861. (Unless of course, someone has found a Sarah Ventham in 1841 of the right age - rounded down.)

Thank you      I noticed that after I had posted and have altered my post after checking whether I had put the wrong name for the father but it is John, not James. 

There are a few baptisms at Michelmersh with parents John & Sarah

John Geary was buried at Michelmersh 19 September 1833 age 81 (born c1752)
Sarah Geary was buried at Michelmersh 9 August 1815 age 63 (born c 1752)

This is somethingg that I have found too - what are the chances of 2 Sarah Gearys brnig born iin the same village to two mothers with the same name ?
I wonder whether John is the same person as James ?

Where did you find that baptism record with father James

I can only find Sarah's baptism amongst the Hampshire Baptisms on Find My Past. It's a transcribed record. Father shown as John.

There aren't all that many Hampshire baptisms on that site - but she was the only result, using 1775 plus or minus 2 years.

I couldn't see her baptism on Ancestry or Family Search (although that doesn't mean it's not there!)
