Willian BOUY born c 1856 Durham Sunderland

I have for years been trying to find any information about the  following

William Bouy, born circa 1856 Durham, Sunderland, from  1880 he was living in West Ham area

1880 he married Jane Summersell a widow, occupation shown as boiler maker, he signed his own name
 
William's father was  shown  marriage cert as a Blacksmith

1881 he is shown as age 25 and an Iron Caulker
1891 Pipe fitter aged 35
1901 gas fitter aged 45 (trans as Boney)
1911 Gas fitter aged 56
he died in 1923

On all census from 1881 he is in East Ham area as I think he worked at Beckton gas works, his place of birth is consistently Durham Sunderland

Any help much appreciated

I wonder is that may be him?

How about Boys/Boyes.  Lots of them in Sunderland.  Perhaps even Boyce.

Thank  you  both, will  delve  into  the  William  Boys born 1856, of  I  can  find  him  on  1861  with  a  father  who  is  a  blacksmith  I  will settle  for  that

On the GRO index it may be William BOYL, with a mother's maiden name of Catcheside.

Not sure about that one 

Take a look at the Boyle household in 1861 at RG9 3768/14/21
Aylmer Street, Bishopwearmouth. Mary Boyle, a married woman is head. There is a 3 year old William, and also a Robert Catcheside, Mary's brother in the household

The same Boyle family, complete with father Charles Boyle, a labourer, can be found in 1871 at RG 10/4999/ 46/25.

Jen -- yes I saw that 1871 census. Also I couldn't find a marriage between a Catcheside and a Boyle (or variant) -- doesn't mean to say there isn't one though! Mind you - I can imagine many variations on transcriptions of both surnames.

I was concentrating on the North East area and the marriage may not have taken place there.
