Was just wondering if someone was killed during the 2nd Boer War, would their death have been registered back in the UK. Also, is there any kind of register of those that were killed?

Ancestry has a
UK, Casualties of the Boer War, 1899-1902
collection.
Find My Past has the
Anglo-Boer War Records 1899-1902
database. The register also contains a completely revised casualty list of 59,000 casualty records.
