Mary Ann WINTER - a dead end…
« on: Friday 29 October 21 10:12 BST (UK) »
Mary Ann Winter, one of my Great-great grandmothers, is proving a dead end for me before her marriage! I wonder if anyone has any ideas/info on what to try next to unlock beyond her?!?

Details so far:
Mary Ann Winter married Thomas Henry Barnett 22-12-1872 in Hackney, fathers name given as Joseph Winter (coke dealer).
Census returns 1881, 91, 1901, 11 give an estimated birth year of 1854 and all give Windsor, Berkshire as birthplace.

Earlier censuses don’t seem to produce any good matches in the right area, there’s a couple of births registered fairly near to Windsor in roughly the right time but further research suggests these are not ‘my’ Mary…
All suggestions gratefully received!

(I have one photo of her, attached - no one now seems to know when or where it was taken)

I wonder if this is Mary, sadly no mothers maiden name on GRO

Eton is situated on the north bank of the Thames, and is connected with Windsor by a bridge across that river
