Do you have a timescale?

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

If I have the right marriage - it was 1960??

If that is the right marriage - any descendants may still be alive.  Rootschat has a strict no living persons policy.  It's possible there were no children as Hilda was probably born in the 1920's but either may have had children from previous marriages

Hilda Crowther first married Douglas Hood 1945.  They presumably divorced as he only died in 1994

It's possible William was previously married - the 1960 marriage cert will give his marital status

No birthyear given by you for William so suggest you use freebmd to look up his birth which will give you his mothers maiden name.  That will enable you to find his parents marriage using freebmd

You can then use the various censuses plus freebmd to establish their respective birthplaces & birthyears

Thank you I can trace back to Frederick but it’s his fathers line I’m interested in? X

Hi

Given the information you will have to make a note of the names you are looking for in the Huddersfield & Upper Agbrigg registers they could be in either.

Freebmd is easy and I find very user friendly. Go to search then you come to the next page. Then just click on the one you want, (birth marriage or death) then just enter the surname in the box and then the first name. After you have done you enter the year range you want, I usually keep it to 5 or 10 year spans. If you have a common name their is a section that allows you to narrow the search to a selected area.

Regards
