My problem with Kindle is all my books are on the last page. Icannot get the back to the start to reread them.   i have tried to reverse them to no avail.    I havent bothered with it for a few years because of this.     As others have said a Kindle is easier to carry  a lot of books on for holidays.
     Hoping some of you clever people can help me. T  I  A .

On mine when I get to the last page, tap top left hand corner. That shows Go to and a symbol a bit like pages
Tap Go to and it gives you the opportunity to go to the beginning.

Derek, no need to back up as the others have said. When I changed my kindle from an earlier model it downloaded everything from Amazon.

Thank you Groom i Will try that when i have charged it up. I kmew there was a simple way but i could not do it.

Only if you try to buy exactly the same version you bought before.
I have two different versions of complete works of William Shakespeare and a couple of other duplicates, originally bought as single books and then included in boxed sets I bought later.
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge
Sussex: Goodyer, Christopher, Trevatt
Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)
Jersey: Fowler, Huelin, Scott

I have a kindle app on my PC and on my phone as well, so when I buy a book, I download to PC and phone at the same time as my Kindle. But as already said you can always download again from Amazon if bought through them. Not sure about other services

Hi Groom, never forgot all the help you give me when i lost my brother and sett out to learn about my family ancestry, you and other foks on this site were so kind, thank you all. Thanks for information about kindle back up, i will be getting a kindle paper white as i've started to read more & more often these days, i was told battery charge last much longer.
