Margaret Jane is 64 when she died in 1925 giving a approx. birth of 1861. I haven't found her birth.
Father Joseph Metcalf Farmer Deceased.
Mother Margaret Metcalf M.S. Baxter is also deceased.
Edit Informant is R. Dilworth, son of Deceased.

The 1901 census you quoted isn't Mary Anne listed as a farmer?

Have you found the birth of Margaret Jane circa 1860 ?

Is there another Richard born circa 1870 based on 1901 census age? I know they are not always correct, for it all to add up the father has to be Joseph a farmer.

That could well be him.

It does look like Mary Ellen registered Sept 1887 Lurgan, Vol. 1 page 653 is the Mary Eleanor I asked for.

When you delve back farther, I would check for Midcoff, Midcaff, Mitkiff, Midkiff and Midcalf for Joseph m. Baxter, father Joseph plus other variations.  Most in the Lurgan area are Ch of Ireland, but Samuel m. Ann Saunders is Presbyterian and had Elizabeth 1825, 1828.  Anthony in Derrymacash with dau Jane m. Wm Castles 1854 is also Presby. as well as John having son Wm of Ballykelly who married Margaret Hamilton 1845 who later married John Wallace.
