How can I find a birth certificate of John Gibson born in 1862 in Dromore?  His father was Alexander Gibson and mother Sarah Beck, brother William born 1860.

Civil registration of births only started in Ireland in 1864. For earlier dates (i.e. John in 1862 and William in 1860), you will have to look for baptisms in church records.

Can you confirm that the Gibsons were Presbyterian?
If so, then for the Dromore Presbyterian churches, PRONI, Belfast has microfilm records which can be viewed in-house.

Thank you for the new lead.  I believe the Gibson's were Presbyterian, so that's another avenue for me to follow.
