Hi Spendlove, DCB, Glenclare and heywood,

I appreciate your help with the Hamson's.

I have discovered some new things about the family. My interest is mainly with the 3 generations of Thomas Hamsons ending with my G Grandfather born about 1874 in Leek. He married Josephine Revitt and they were living in Collyhurst, Manchester in 1901.

DCB found Robert and Jane Ball in Manchester at the same time, I looked up Hamilton Street on an old map and it was just around the corner from where my G Grandparents were married on Whitley Street. Also, my G Grandfather's brother Henry 'Harry' Hamson was living at 138 Hamilton Street.

They obviously moved to Manchester for work, and it is surprising to find them living so close to each other.

Rosina's possible birthplace as Middleton in 1853, is interesting as it is only a few miles away from Collyhurst.  ::)
