Just a simple job please . no colour required!!

Don't know who, but possibly John Edward Rogers  born Ireland 1848 died Victoria 1919 aged 71.

On the back it wasy 'with best wishes 1911'  which would make him (if it is he) 65 -

Wiggy, I don't know what's going on, but when I try to download your photos the names change from, e.g.,  "??Rogers..." to "Index", accompanied by no picture but many, many pages of garbage like the image below. Perhaps someone more technically minded than I can suggest what's going on.

Gadget . . . odd that you say that . . . . . I cleaned the scanner glass today - but I thought I'd done it just before I scanned.    Maybe it was after . . .
