There are lots of Moffatts in Ringsend area- which family are you looking for?

Lots of information on this topic-
https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=799615.0

If you tell us exactly what/who you are looking for it's quite likely we'll be able to help if the information hasn't already been posted on that earlier thread.

Bella Moffat married Alexander Nevin alias Turner on 29th July 1902 in Ringsend Presbyterian Church. She was 19 and her brother Thomas was one of the witnesses. Alexander was living in Glasgow and working as a labourer.

We've covered this family before on several threads.

Children of Thomas Moffat (c1804-1888)
1. Thomas (c1847-1889) m. Catherine Riddle
2. Mary Jane Moffatt m.(3 May 1870 Ringsend) Alexander McDougal
? 3. Robert Moffatt (c1858) m.(29 June 1877) Sarah Carton- 12 children
? 4. James Moffat (d.1876) m.(1 Dec.1866) Margaret Arthur- 5? children
? 5. John Moffat (c1849-1930) m.(1 Oct.1872) Matilda Frizzell- 13 children

I am a descendant of Robert Moffat and Sarah Carton. I have been having a hard time figuring out Roberts siblings. I have found at least 3 Thomas Moffats who could have been related. Thanks for any help.

Thread about Alexander Nevin/Turner & Bella Moffat- OP didn't like the information that was found but we did find the correct family  ;)

'... and any of his family' is a bit vague. Have a read through the information already posted then, if you'd like more information, please tell us exactly how we can help. For example, 'looking for details of parents and siblings' or 'trying to trace descendants.' Be aware, however, that we aren't allowed to post details of living people.

Thank you. Yes I seen the previous posts concerning the Moffatts and seen they were quite a few years ago and just wondered if anyone had any fresh information on them or their ancestors or stories etc. I understand you can't post about living people that is fair as I know Robert still has living children as does his brother Thomas
