I think so Dave most being born in Chwalim except for one or two one being Carl the oldest son

Always worth a look
There seems a few Rau families in the area where Carl Rau was baptised so wondered if they had family there too? As why else would they be there as it seems a distance from Chwalim. I never foind the baptism of the eldest daughter who died age 13.

Wow! Thank you Dave I’ve never come across Wilhelm Ernst Rau before now completely missed him but not much doubt with his place of birth parents etc found a few new cousins to add to my tree with him. More pieces of the puzzle.
