Oxwich BTs ACE

Hi there,
Does anyone have access to the BTs for Oxwich, Gower? Not the parish registers - they don't seem to go back quite far enough. I'm looking for SAMUEL ACE who I believe was born in Oxwich between 1765 and 1775.

Thanks for that. I have tried the library website, but have never managed to find the BTs. I'll try the enquiry number- good idea.

Just to narrow down your time line Oxwich PR images from 1772 are on FindMyPast, no Samuel Ace 1772 - 1776.

There was a baptism at Reynoldston around that time

Parents William & Jane

Thanks, yes I know about the Reynoldston Samuel. The reason I'm asking about the BTs is because the Oxwich Parish Registers start after 1772 and the BTs exist for the years before this. I know there were many Aces in Oxwich, and I think Samuel was more likely to have been born there than in Reynoldston. There is also some evidence that the Reynoldston Samuel died in Reynoldston.

You did ask for between 1765 and 1775  :)

Did you make any progress on Samuel Ace? I am interested in William Ace of Slade near Oxwich. He died in 1846 and was said to be 82 so born c1764. There are possibilities for his baptism in Reynoldston which is no distance away but I’m trying to rule in or rule out Oxwich Aces first. Samuel/Elizabeth baptised three children in 1736-40 in Oxwich but there are no more traces of Aces (!) in either Parish Records or BTs
