  Thank you for that information...

on George Blakeman`s Baptism record in 1814  their address was Smith street so its likely to be the same one.

Im wondering why it wasnt on William`s marriage cert that his father was dead.

It wasn't a requirement to say if your father was deceased or not - just to give his name  :)

Something to bear in mind as it can be misleading otherwise.

Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

Ahh Thank you, will bear that in mind, Ive only seen that once on a marriage cert before and luckily the fathers occupation was on there as well so i knew i had the right one.

I have not long ago found a marriage for Eliza Blakeman ( someone earlier found a baptism record for her) and one of her witness`s was a George Blakeman  1836 Warwick her spouse was Charles Davis ..
still no sign of william though!

she is in the same area as george in 1861 and 1871, by 1881 or 1891 ( i cant remember now ) she is a widow living with her daughter and her family

There is a marriage for a Mary Blakeman (Widow) to William Heath 4th November 1819 at St Nicholas, Warwick.  I wonder if that is your Mary

1851 census, as transcribed by Ancestry :
St Nicholas, Warwick

William Lary 34 head (I read 54)
Sarah Lary 52 wife
John Briscoe s-i-l
William Blakewood 33 ditto
Catherine Blakewood daur 24
William Blakewood gchild 6m

The image is shockingly poor, but it looks like your family with Catherine's parents.

If William is 33 in 1851 then he would have been born c1817, that is after Richard had died and before his mother remarried.

Perhaps this baptism at St Mary, Warwick:

17 October 1817 William Perry s/o Mary Blackman, then 'Illegitimate' unhelpfully written across the address and occupation columns.

Thank you .. in the 1841 census they seem to be living in Smith street.. I dont know where Catherine is at that point .. I couldn't find them in 1851 but I was looking for Blakeman  not blakewood so that seems likely..
I also found that William Perry Blakeman  but dismissed it as I presumed Richard was still alive...
But late last night I put William Perry in the search with Mary as mother hoping to find a new marriage  with Perry as the surname  for the new spouse and it brought up the William Heath and Mary marriage...
I dont even know where Perry comes from .. it's not been used on the marriage cert or his sons birth certificate... I just have to assume Mary told him Richard was his father and died before he was born which would explain why Richard is down as his father on the marriage  certificate..
Oh the Joy's of family  history...
Thank you all for your help
