I’ve just cancelled my membership that runs out in Feb 2024…

I’ve received an email to say that cancellation is confirmed.. I can carryon using it until the sub runs out..

When I use the link to create a new sub it’s only showing the 6 mth ones not annual… am I doing something wrong..

If I’ve cancelled it why’s it still allowing me to use it until Feb… no offer of refund pro rata…

Any advice/ help would be much appreciated.. thanks in advance.

Try logging out of Ancestry first before using either of the above links.  Once logged out, click on the link, which hopefully will show the discounted amount at the top of the page.  Sign in from that page and it should take you directly to the payment page, showing the amount you need to pay.  I've just tried it whilst signed out and it is still showing the discounted price.  Hope it works for you!

justmej

The link still works😁

My Ancestry ProTools subscription is £4.99/month so I don't want to lose that decent price.

As normal I have cancelled the autorenewal of my Ancestry 12 months world subscription because I will use the £89.99 link to renew the day after expiration. But ...

Quote from https://support.ancestry.com/s/article/Ancestry-Pro-Tools-Membership

"What happens if I cancel my Ancestry family history membership?
Ancestry Pro Tools requires an active Ancestry family history membership. If your Ancestry family history membership expires, your Pro Tools membership will automatically be canceled at the end of its current paid period."

As my normal method means that I will not have an  Ancestry subscription for a few hours until I use the discount link, will that impact my £4.99/month ProTools subscription? In other words am I in danger of losing that low £4.99/month?

Does anyone have actual experience of this dilemma please?

You should have an option to pause the subscription when it expires.  I always pause my sub to make sure I have some time to find the subscription deal.

That *may* work for you.  I don't use the tools though so cannot confirm for you.
