No need for any messing with me in England. Just clicked the link and got UK and Ireland for £60 for a year which would have cost me twice as much if I had done an automatic rollover a month or so back.
Ancestry even knew my details and credit card number so just a couple of clicks.
Thanks

Yessss! I got it. Worldwide subscription for £89.99 for a year. I obtained a VPN, set it to show United Kingdom, then logged into my Ancestry account. When I clicked on the link in this thread, the page with the half price offers appeared for the first time. My previous subscription expired 2 days ago! I'm so pleased! Thank you for the link, and to the knowledgeable person who told me about VPNs.

Great news, another two happy "Chatters" with new memberships.

Passing on my (4th annual) thanks to Sandra for this link.

Old sub expired last night. My account showed me as a Registered Guest this morning, I clicked the offer link from here and another click to pay £89.99 for 12 months Worldwide Access.

Thank you for the update Boo, so pleased you got another bargain and it sounded relatively easy for you.
This should be an encouragement for everyone to try and persevere.

I cancelled the sub a few weeks ago - and it seems to now be very longwinded to do so. I kept going till eventually I got an email to acknowledge I had cancelled and that the current sub would expire on the end date. At that stage my account said it was Expiring on 30th Nov and then this morning it said Registered Guest.

It is worth being sure you have cancelled before the expiry date, I would definitely not have renewed at the renewal price of £179.99, especially as we are about to get the 1921 census elsewhere and it will be years before Ancestry have it.

However it won't be part of the Find My Past subscription, so will still be an extra.

Hi All,

My subscription ends this month & I bought the UK based version via the link last year. I have just checked & the automatic renewal is showing at £59.99. However, the email I received last week said £119. Has anyone just let it run & been given the cheaper price? (It definitely say renewal price £59.99 on my membership)

Suzanne.

Unless you want to take a chance, it would be a miracle if that happened.  Never heard of anyone in that scenario.  It is usual to cancel your auto renewal and then renew on the link
