I've only just read the new posts on this thread saying the original link is now working again.  My sub is due to renew at full cost in less than 1 hour, I have just cancelled it and received a confirmation email to confirm the cancellation.

Phew - talk about just in the nick of time.  I'll give it a couple of days then try the half price link, it worked for me last year.

I think it's a good idea to leave a gap between subscriptions anyway, rather than let it renew automatically.  In the past when I have cancelled they've often made an offer to get me back.
