My x Grandfather was a Gamekeeper in Gloucestershire - and his records were found on the Index to the Series of Gamekeeper's Deputations in the Quarter Sessions Order Books - and he appeared to move around various estates. In 1818, in September he was working for Lady Barbara Ashley Cooper in Hatherop, Eastleach, Martin and Eastleach Turville and in October that year he was working for the Hicks Beach family in Coln St Aldwyn and Quentington. So they could travel around in a short time frame.
