I am posting here, as I think the military connection is the clue towards the information.
Joseph Lambert was born in West Bromwich 1780, married Mary and had 5 children 1810 to 1828. Two of the children were baptised in Roman Catholic Churches, which gave Mary’s maiden name as Dillan/Dillon. I would like to know more about Mary, birth, parents, marriage. 1841 census gives her birth as Scotland, age 45. Their second child was baptised in Scotland, the other 4 were Baptised in Birmingham, but all at different Churches. The best/only birth match I can find is Rerrick, near Kirkcudbright (Mary Dalling 1796).
Joseph was in the 7th Dragoon Guards. They seemed to travel between Ireland, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh during his years, 1800 - 1821. Would someone like to try and piece together the jigsaw?
