Attached are two photographs which purport to be of Robert Dodds Scott, born Ancrum, Roxburghshire, Scotland, in about 1802, and his wife, Dinah Edwards. Robert spent almost his entire adult life in the Merthyr Tydfil/Llancarfan area.

Is there anyone out there who can confirm, or refute, the purported identity of the individuals shown in the photographs? Any information gratefully received

Correction. For Llancarfan read Llanfabon.
