So the first listing you have there from 1901 would be Caroline's sister and family. Ancelina as you have there show more frequently as Ann Selina.

Monica

Do you think Frank was Carolines father then?

The danger of Ancestry hints I had him as HERCULES Lovell

EDIT: sorry, You meant Ancelina is Caroline's sister, thank you

I think Carolines father is Archelaus Lovell

Frank Clayton looks to be Caroline's brother in law, married to her sister Ann Selina from what has been found.

osprey posted a link to Caroline's christening entry here www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NVSM-1YL  I think you will find lots of variants on her father's name on records for the family!

I gave you Jeremiah's marriage back on page 7

20 Nov 1811 Newnham, Northants Jeremiah Smith & Rhode Smith.

It was not uncommon for travellers to fall foul of the law. The Vagrancy Act of 1824 made it an offence to sleep "in any deserted or unoccupied building, or in the open air, or under a tent, or in any cart or waggon, not having any visible means of subsistence".
The Hawkers and Pedlars Act of 1810 meant that licences were required.
