William S GIBB proving elusive to find

Hi Rootschatters,
William Sandilands GIBB is my Easter project only I'm not having much success finding him beyond 1935. Born 23 Aug 1896 in Wishaw, Lanarkshire, one of 8 children born to James Inglis GIBB & Jeanie Scott SANDILANDS, he emigrated to Australia with his parents and 4 siblings (not sure when) and appears on the electoral roll in Coogee, New South Wales in 1931, 1933, 1934 & 1935 as a labourer. His mother died in 1934 and when his sister died in 1941 her death notice reads, "Beloved daughter of James Gibb & sister of Agnes & Jim" per Sydney Morning Herald dated 05 May 1941. William didn't get a mention! He had siblings back in Scotland and England but they were not mentioned in family death notices published in Australia either so I suppose it is possible he travelled back to his homeland between 1935 & 1941 as I haven't been able to find a death for him in NSW.
I have found corresponding death records for his parents and siblings but can't seem to be able to track William down. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

There is a William Gibb, mothers maiden name, Sandilands, who dies in Kilmarnock, Scotland in 1984.
His age 82, is not quite right, but close. Have a look at this possible one on Scotlands People.

Thank you for the tip but that one looks like the son of Wm Gibb & Margaret/Maggie Sandilands who married in 1894 Lesmahagow. Six years is probably a bit of a stretch to risk six credits

There is a grave for a William S Gibb in Bothwell Park Cemetery, Bellshill died 21 August 1945, but without an age to help verify. https://billiongraves.com/grave/William-S-Gibb/29755821.

Anything mentioned in his dad's death notice?

His death was mentioned in local Wishaw newspaper of time, but no family details other than mention of his late wife and that her father had been a baker in Wishaw.

 Re when family headed to Australia....not sure if this will link in somewhere, but in March 1921, relatives and friends of a Mr James Gibb jnr held a social gathering at Sandilands Hall, Wishaw and an Archibald Gibb presented him with a well filled wallet of  Treasury notes for his leaving to go to Australia.

James' death was reported in the Sydney Morning Herald but scant on details...just late of Wishaw, Lanarkshire and father of Agnes and James aged 83.

Then in 1926, a church social was held  in December at Wishaw Parish Church hall, to bid farewell to Mr James Gibb, Mrs Gibb and Miss Jessie Gibb who were leaving the following week for Australia.The family were presented with various leaving gifts.

Perhaps the family emigrated at different stages?

Jessie's death of  3rd, May, 1941, noted in local Wishaw press, but only parents mentioned.

No death of a William Gibb in Bothwell in 1945.

William Stark Gibb, 40, died in Bothwell in 1943, aged 40. I think that is a 3 not a 5 on the stone.

No other deaths of William Gibbs in Bothwell 1940-1950.
