If you've already seen the baptism record, you'll know Richard's wife isn't given. Nor is there an earlier marriage of Richard in the Coaley records (not that Ancestry have transcribed, anyway).
For what it's worth, there's a James Gunter baptised 5 January 1723/4, son of Edward. And there's a marriage of Richard Gunter and Martha fforde (I think that's what it says) in Frocester 24 December 1728. A second wife for your Richard? Because Hannah, dau. of Richard Gunter was bapt. in Coaley 12 September 1727, but died and was buried on the 15th, and then on 2 November, Ann, wife of Richard Gunter was buried, also in Coaley.
Maybe you'll have to widen your net for the marriage of Richard and Ann.
