I’ve found William on 1891, 1901 and 1911 census
On 1891 he’s with wife Mary J and children Jane Charles and Albert living at 23 Union Street, Hulme
There’s also another marriage in 1913, let me know if you want all the details

This William is the right age for the one in the newspaper article (b c1864) and he is still in Manchester with that family in 1901 and widower living with Albert in 1911 and still a warehouseman
