Church Yard, Headcorn
« on: Sunday 28 August 05 18:51 BST (UK) »
Can anyone with a knowledge of Church Yard Headcorn circa 1841/51 give me some background information. on the dwellings I suspect they may have been occupied by the less fortunate of the parish but of coursse I may be totally off track.
I have a particular interest in one Elizabeth Dann (recored as being a charwoman pauper)born abt 1814 who was known to have married William Penfold around 1831.
Any comments welcome.

Many Thanks

Hi Scatty,  :) .
Having had a look at the censii for the Churchyard dwellings 41/51 there seems to be the usual mixture of folk one expects to find in a row of houses in a village  such as Headcorn. There doesnt seem anything to indicate a propensity of paupers or needy types in the area.
