Look Up Request - Marriage Fellingham / Murphy.
« on: Friday 19 February 21 17:01 GMT (UK) »
Hi there.

I was wondering if anybody would have the time to look up a marriage for me.

Ernest Henry Fellingham to Annie Mary Murphy. I have a FreeBMD entry for June 1904 at Woolwich, but can find nothing on LDS.

Any info gratefully received.

Mark.

Can't see anything online.  To look it up at the RO you need to know which church they were married in.

RO's are currently closed due to Covid 19

Somebody has a family tree on Ancestry - have you seen it?

Hi there, Carole,

No, I didn't know about the tree but I tend not to take any notice of them.

It's odd that it's listed on FreeBMD but nothing on the LDS. I was just looking for any additional info. My interest is Annie Mary Murphy, Co Carlow, Ireland. I need info on her good self as the Irish records are not great.

Mark.

With such a high page number - 2108 - the marriage was probably a Register Office ceremony.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Thank you, both.

Is there any additional info on the image, BumbleB?

Regards.

It's not the full marriage entry as we are used to.  :-\

Ernest's father appears to be William
Annie's father appears to be Michael

I think that my knowledge of Latin allows me to surmise  :-\   (I failed 3 O-level subjects - Latin, English Language and English Literature)  :-X

That's wonderful. Thank you.

Murphy is not the easiest name to work with in the Irish records.  ;D ;D

'Michael' is certainly a step forward.

Kind regards,

Mark.
