FindMyPast film strips on census pages- help

Looks like they've changed it again. For the better!
Now the default seems to be without the film strip. and you can switch it on by clicking "all pages" button in bottom right.

I don't think so, I have just tried and the film strip is at the bottom, perhaps it depends whether you have previously switched it off.
I also like being able to jump pages by typing a page number in the page (view) box just above the film strip.
I applaud Findmypast for giving subscribers the choice of how to view pages on their site

Guy you should be able to turn on/turn off the pages.  If you have the strip at the bottom of the page, you click on Close all pages button on the right hand side, just above the strip.  When you do that the pages go and to get them back, click on the All Pages button at the bottom right.  Works for me.

I agree Girl Guide, at least we have the choice to opt in to it rather than having to opt out every time.

I see now that having selected the option to view the image without the film underneath we don't have a direct link to the transcript from that page without reopening the 'all pages' or is it just me.

You mean apart from using the back arrow on the browser?
You currently have the option to use the back to results arrow on the page or the back to the last page on the browser

Yes I can, I was referring to the default setting. With me the default is with the film strip the way I like to browse, others were suggesting the default was film strip off.

Maybe the "default" is what you set on last visit, rather than always coming back to film strip on - as it did for me a few days ago.
