Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Thank you for all your help....Youve all very quickly helped solve my missing BIRTH CERTIFICATE for my Great Grandmother.....I shall check out the information received and order my missing certificate.....very much appreciated

REf Little Nell.....any reason why the GRO referances (VOL and PAGE numbers) wont bring up the match....A search with those referances brings up no results?   Did u get them off a BIRTH INDEX?

What URL are you using to search?

The site which reveals MMN is www.gro.gov.uk

Hi Pauline.....Ive ordered many certificates before, Im on the GRO website signed into my account and searching the GRO online indexes with the information I was given

OK finnally got there, had to leave some boxes blank and go on a wider genral search for the record to eventually show up.......got the certificate ordered.......really appreciate all your help, much appreciated, many thanks again, case closed
