Vivien

You dont specify what district in Monmouthshire your Phillips, I hunted them down in the Aberystruth area.

If you join the Rootsweb Monmouthshire Mailing List and give the same 1851 census details, someone will give you the full census details. I have most of the 1851 census but not this area.

Why do you have do 10 instead of Elizabeth 10

Thanks for the information, John.   I will subscribe to the Monmouthshire Mailing list.

My Phillips family is mostly from Glamorgan but seemed to have done some traveling from the information I have. Parents born in Glamorgan,  some children born in Monmouth and Brecon in the 1840s but after that they seemed to have settled back in Glamorgan.

I have do 10 because that's the way the information was given to me when I asked for 1851 census.. I thought it must mean that it was Elisabeth 10 but thought when asking for 1841 information I would not make any assumptions.

Now off to check out  where Aberstruth is.  My knowledge of Wales is growing in leaps and bounds doing this genealogy stuff  but I still won't pass any geography tests.
