Hackney Bryans or O'Bryans
« on: Saturday 23 January 21 18:49 GMT (UK) »
Hello! I am wandering if anyone can help or if these names ring a bell for anyone...
I am working on my husbands tree at the mo  - specifically Mary Ann Bryan, B. abt 1862 Hackney - (according to census records... ).
I am having no end of trouble getting any further back or finding any of her family. I am wandering if there is an Irish link but this is a complete guess and I have no evidence for this except her name..
This is what I know!
She married John Benjamen Walter Craig in 1887  - I have the record - they are living in Bromley and she names her farther as John Bryan, a publican (I can't find him though)
I have her on the 1891 and 1911 census (with family) and the 1939 register but nil before then
On some of her 7 children's birth registrations, her madien name is down as O'Bryan...

I cant find any convincing links on the DNA matches either!
thanks for reading!
K

I would just like to add that I think (pretty sure) I have taken down the brick wall with DNA match analysis !
