James MUIR Kilmarnock
« on: Sunday 17 January 21 14:47 GMT (UK) »
Hello, my uncle Jimmy, born 10th Oct 1910, died 23 Sep 1974 lived in Kilmarnock. Uncle Jimmy and  Aunty Flora were at our wedding in 1972. I can find no record of a marriage on Scotland's People and on his death certificate he is shown as single. Can anyone identify Aunty Flora please?
Thank you

They were perhaps just living together.  If they weren't married there won't be any way of identifying her.  Did they have any children?  Who reported his death?

Dunno.

Flora Ishbel M Muir born Kirkinner 1932, married James Simpson Taylor 1955 in Pollok.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

I have Muir`s from Kilmarnock in my tree and it is quite a hard name to trace as Muir, Moore, More are sometimes used as surname.
