Sorry, I don't have a lot of information on  Charles R. Roberts.

I understand Charles R. Roberts married Hilda M. Trueman in Scarborough in 1918.

Now, not sure if they moved to Hartlepool to live?

Sorry, I can't find any other information on the couple.

And whether Hilda and children are on the 1939 National Register?

Using the 1918 birth for Iris E Roberts - in 1939 it is possible that her grandmother is Minnie Trueman.  The 1911 census has Minnie Trueman with a daughter called Hilda

Tree on Ancestry has her as born 1898 in Scarborough, Hilda May Trueman, parents Minnie and William.  No information on Charles.  No death for her.
